Sabancı Holding, focusing on ‘new economy’ in its global growth strategy, has made a change in its organizational structure in this direction. Digital technologies, one of the driving forces of Sabancı Group's recent growth, has been established as a new business unit in the organizational structure and Mr. Max Speur is appointed Sabancı Holding Digital Group President.
Mr. Max Speur, who served as the senior manager of many information and technology companies in the past, will take up his position at Sabancı Holding as of March 15, 2023. Mr. Max Speur will lead the growth processes of SabancıDx and Teknosa companies within the scope of the new organizational structure.
The new organizational structure will support Sabancı Group to focus on business models based on next-generation technologies, while making significant contributions to the vision of “Sabancı of the World.”
In his statement, Sabancı Holding CEO Cenk Alper underlined that digital has a very important role in the future roadmap of Sabancı Group and said, "As the Sabancı Group, 75 percent of our investments in the next 5 years will be in energy and climate technologies, advanced material technologies and digital technologies, which we call 'new economy'. In particular in the past two years, we have implemented many important investments that demonstrate our commitment to digital technologies. Through our Corporate Venture Capital Fund Sabancı Ventures, SabancıDx and Sabancı Climate Technologies companies, we have been involved as investors in many important start-ups in Turkey and around the world that pursue disruptive innovation and combine our understanding of sustainability with technology. Furthermore, our companies such as SabancıDx and Teknosa have brought critical digital capabilities to our Group with the pioneering and exemplary practices they have implemented. I would also like to thank Kıvanç Zaimler and Hakan Timur for their great efforts in this process. Our new organizational structure, which we have announced, will help us to be more focused in the field of digital technologies, and will enable Sabancı to adapt to technological developments much faster and to lead these technologies on a global scale. Who is Mr. Max Speur?
Mr. Speur has 30 years of global experience in Technology and IT Services Industry. Mr. Speur received his Mechanical Engineering & Business Administration degree from Technische Hogeschool Rijswijk, MBA Technology Science and Management from University of Twente and MBA Leadership Program Mergers & Acquisition from Henley Business School. He started his career in 1992 at Royal Dutch Shell as Finance & Marketing Analyst and worked at Logica between 1993-2001 at various management positions. Mr. Speur then pursued his career at IBM. He worked at IBM Business Consulting Services as Partner-Managing Principal in Amsterdam between 2001-2003 and IBM Global Services, as Communication Sector Leader in Asia Pacific, Shanghai region between 2003-2005. Mr. Speur was appointed as Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services Vice President and Sales & Industry Leader in Singapore and Melbourne in 2005 and continued this role until 2011. In 2011, he founded AT10TION Group. He joined SunTec Business Solutions in 2012 as CCO & COO responsible for UK, Singapore, UAE, USA, and India. In 2017, he was appointed as CEO of CCS Connects and pursued his role until 2021. Prior to joining our Group, Mr. Speur has been working as the founder and the CEO of AT10TION Group he has established in 2011.
