Sabancı Volunteers win prize at the 14th 'From the Heart Awards’
Sabancı Volunteers recently received recognition for their efforts in corporate social responsibility at the International CSR Excellence Awards Ceremony held in London. The program was honored with two "International Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence" awards for their work in 2020 and 2021. In addition, Sabancı Volunteers were also recognized at the Green World Awards, receiving an award in the "Best Social Responsibility Study" category. The United Kingdom-based Green Organization presented the award, which promotes, rewards, and develops successful environmental practices worldwide.
Furthermore, Sabancı Volunteers recently received recognition for their volunteering efforts at the 14th 'From the Heart' Awards, organized by the Private Sector Volunteers Association (ÖSGD). The 'From the Heart' Awards are the most prestigious awards in their field. They have been presented annually since 2007 to support volunteering activities in the private sector, promote their widespread adoption, and recognize outstanding examples that positively impact society. Sabancı Volunteers were awarded the "Most Successful Volunteering Project" prize for their 'Tomorrow-Is-Ours' project, which supports the education of healthcare workers' children during the COVID-19 pandemic. These healthcare workers are recognized as the main heroes of the pandemic.
Tomorrow-Is-Ours Project
The Tomorrow-is-Ours project was created to support the children and siblings of healthcare workers, who have been instrumental in the fight against the pandemic. In the project's first phase, 626 Sabancı Volunteers mentored 698 young people from 65 provinces of Turkey, all of whom have at least one healthcare worker in their family and are preparing for university entrance exams. The project's second phase involves 500 young people working with 500 mentors to increase their self-awareness and awareness about the society in which they live, focusing on "Responsible Youth.”
